My daughter is on my health insurance an is getting married soon will the insurance company find out? Not unless there's a name change, she moves out, or gives birth. However, if they DO find out, the policyholder (you? Your husband?) is on the hook for all the money the health insurance paid out, fraudulently, to your daughter. Source(s): agent, 21+ years hopefully cause its fraud if you dont take her off your policy..if they have enough money to get married they should be able to pay their own medical insurance Not if you don't tell untill they do an audit. Then they may make you pay for all the medical costs they have paid. They may make you pay the insurance premiums and they will be a lot more than what your employer is paying. Your best bet is for you tell them then get caught later on. It's not so much "if" they will find out, but what they will do to you if you defraud them. Have you checked to see if she can stay on your policy? If no, then her husband will have to take over providing for her insurance needs, or she will have to get a job that gives her benefits. why do you want to risk losing your benefits? withholding info such as this is insurance fraud. it could result in arrest, fine, imprisonment, and loss of coverage. Any more questions? You have to report the marriage event to the insurance company right away. You should call the insurance company and ask them if they can give you a grace period or ask when will they drop her from your insurance after she get married. By reporting this event to the insurance company - you are helping the insurance industry from sky high premiums due to fraud. |
