This site has many resources for health insurance. Also, if you want a specific search use the Google search bar on the home page of the site. It is specifically for health insurance. Source(s): http://daycareknowledge.com/health-insur...
To find out about good health insurance programs there are several options:

1) Look in the yellow pages for insurance agents in your area that specialize in health insurance and request plan comparisons and quotes.

2) Contact your family members and friends and ask where they got the best health plan at affordable rates.

3) Check online with a health insurance quote provider service to compare plans and rates. Two of the sites offering good information and plan comparisons are:

InsureMe - they give you up to five free health insurance quotes from top-rated health insurers nationwide - http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?ref...

eHealthinsurance.com offers you side-by-side quote comparisons from a large network of health insurers across the country.

These sites provide good information and easy plan comparisons to help you decide.

I hope that helps. Good luck.
Before you hear from other people about what health plans they like, you should think about what you want out of medical coverage. Some people just want one that will cover extended hospital stays or help pay for extremely costly medical bills so that other family members won鈥檛 have to pay. Other people want plans with specific policy provisions or that include specific doctors and hospitals in their network of health care providers. And some people prefer PPO, HMO, or traditional health insurance. So, I would write down a list of all the possible features of a health plans and rank them in order of importance. Once you know exactly what you want, then it will be simple to find what you want.

I鈥檇 check out Consumer Reports (link below), US News & World Reports (link below) and whatever other informational resources you can find. I鈥檇 also talk with locally licensed health insurance agents. I鈥檝e also included a couple of articles about choosing a health plan that might be useful. They are government-authored, but they鈥檙e actually pretty good

Two new plans aimed at twentysomethings are popular right now 鈥?but you don鈥檛 have to be in that age group to join. They are 鈥淭onik鈥?from Blue Cross Blue Shield and 鈥淪ound鈥?from UniCare. They have low premiums and high deductibles, but they can also include dental and vision for a relatively low amount of money. Regular doctor visits are also included. I think UniCare鈥檚 program is available in Texas.

You should try visiting MostChoice.com. It鈥檚 a Web site that helps you shop for health insurance. They have free instant price quotes and policy information on health plans near you, but their specialty is getting you in touch with state-licensed agents. There鈥檚 no cost or obligation to buy insurance. You just fill out a short form and wait for the agents to contact you (within 48 hours). Have your questions ready and let them work until one of them delivers the plan that鈥檚 right for you. You might want to have a set amount you want to spend each month on insurance and tell the agents to work within those parameters.
