Can someone tell me if Mary Kay Consultants can get Health Insurance through the company? |
Can you show me on the web where there is information on this? Unless something has changed recently, the answer is No. You are an independent beauty consultant. You are in reality "self-employed". It has actually been tried in a court of law to determine if you are (as a consultant) an employee of May Kay. The Courts ruled Consultants ARE NOT employees. A copy of the court case is below. Also Mary Kay DOES offer a program called MKConnections, which offers "discounts" on medical, vision, dental, etc, BUT it is NOT insurance. The second link is for consultants to log on and search for information. One last comment: You can always call the company and just ask them if they now offer health insurance for independent beauty consultants and see what they say. You can get life insurance when you get to National Sales Director but NO you are self employed and they can point you to discounted plans but unlike when you are employed you will have nobody to share the cost with.
