When is the u.s.a. going to improve the way health insurance works in the u.s.a.? when the politicians can no longer afford theirs Where does it work better? When you speak to people with socialized medicine they don't seem to be getting the standard of care they would like. We have some choices and they are all pretty expensive and it seems the system could be streamlined if the middle man was removed - and the health care industry could be trusted. Are we all untitled to an organ transplant? Fertility treatment? Self inflicted problems like lung cancer or obesity? It is a lot to fix! So I would have to say no time soon. Health insurance works pretty well here in the US. About 20% of the people here do not have it - half of THEM are here illegally, and half of the remainder decline it out of CHOICE. agent, 21+ years It works very well - but the costs are out of hand. We get choice in the USA, and when the government provides the coverage, you may have to wait until it's too late for care. And, nobody in the USA goes without medical care. Whether you have insurance or not, or are a legal citizen or not, nobody is turned away at the hospital. Do your homework and ask a lot of questions before you endorse national health care. Insurance agent 23+ years. when someone in the white house, the senate or the house gets really really sick and doesn't have any health insurance coverage. |
