I am disabled with no eligibilty for medicare. Where can I get health insurance for low income?

They tell me I make too much $$ from Social Security Disability.

If your on Social Security Disability, you will automatically go on Medicare after 1 year.In the meantime try the Department of Human Resources in your state and check with your local hospitals, if any of them are county hospitals, they will work on a sliding scale and what you pay is based on your income. Also check with some of the local doctors, some offer a discounted rate to people with no insurance.
Have you tried your local Department of Children & Families? (HRS) or call the Department of Health for your area and they will be able to direct you for "Cash Assistance" to help you with medical or your other needs.
go to your local public health office and apply for medicaid. if you get full coverage, you won't have to pay for co-pays, perscriptions, hospitals stays, nothing.....everything's free. you just have to qualify. hope this helps!
