How expensive is it to have a baby if you have great health insurance?

Its just that my husband and i want to have a baby but we're not real financially satble yet.

Really depends on your insurance and if you hospital is a provider who accepts your insurance. Also depends if your baby is born on time with no complications. Some insurances will pay all but your deductible, others pay only a portion. Why not call your insurance company and your hospital billing office and they should be able to give you a rough estimate of what you will have to pay out of your own pocket. Source(s): I'm an R.N.
YOU will never be financially stable. Especially if you want to have a baby.

Everything costs money. Just do the best you can with what you have.
Been there, done that!

Mom of 3 daughter 14 sons 11 & 7 yrs.
Do you mean the cost of prenatal care and delivery or the amount you would spend supporting your child?
Why does anyone want to bring another baby into this terrible world????? Sorry thats just how I feel...
Depends on if there are any complications, how good the insurance is, what the doctor charges, and what the hospital charges. Plus you will need crib, clothes, bottles, formula, breastpump, diapers, carseat, stroller, etc, etc.
