I currently have a 3k out of pocket per yr. coverage under my health insurance & am facing chemo & radiation? |
I have a stage 1, non-aggressive form of cancer & have already had surgery to remove the 2 centimeter area that had not spread. With approval from my oncologist of course, would it be best to wait as close to the end of the yr. as possible to start treatments, to avoid paying up to my 3k out of pocket & then starting over again at the first of the yr.? Is this possible or any other viable suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks! Call your insurance company.... they may have some sort of policy on long-term treatments. Especially those that cross years. It's horrible that you - when you're busy trying to get well, have to focus on the financial side of it all. Will you be 'on-the-job' during your treatments or will you been on shortterm disability? That might make a difference as well. good luck |
