How will the state of mass. collect and enforce fines (penalties)for unpaid mandatory health insurance? |
According to reports non-participation in mandatory health insurance will result first in loss of state personal income tax refund (?), then fines!!! How does the state intend to recoup or enforce these fines??? Liens? Wage garnishing?? Seizure of property??? Loss of drivers license or other state issued licenses?? I haven't found the actual statute to review it. The fines will be charged and enforced by the Department of Revenue, in the same way the Department of Revenue collects unpaid taxes and related fees.
