Thanks to Democrats the law was not passed for Real Estate Agents to get Group Health Insurance, any comments? |
Ok, Democrats what was the reason for this? I need some real answers. Found out only one Democrat voted for it in the House. The Republicans wanted this (all but one voted for it), just proves my theory more about Democrats not helping the working man, and small buisnesses. I need Health Insurance because my meds are so high. If someone is in Real Estate, that does not mean they are rich. What is this about Republican's only helping the rich? A lot of the people I know in Real Estate are just struggling to get by. Now I will have second thoughts about getting back into the field at this time. Democrats don't want the poor people to make money or be self employed. They want poor people to stay poor. People you really need to wake up! Stop voting for Democrats. Democrats are for big government and want to take our tax dollars and tell us what to do with it. Sure we have more Republicans but we don't have enough to get this bill passed! Democrats I need a good reason you did this? I find it hard to believe that any Republican voted for a bill that was designed primarily to help out the individual worker or the small businessman. I haven't done any homework, but when 100% of Republicans vote for a bill and no Democrats, I guarantee you the language of the bill is twisted so that large insurance companies get the most benefit at the EXPENSE of small businesses, such as real estate agents, despite what your Republican congressperson would want you to believe. Perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions. Either that, or as is all too typical in the Republican-led House, the bill was so laden with pork added by gluttonous, back-patting representatives that while the Democrats would love to see everyone have health insurance, they couldn't vote for something so unconscionably self-serving. Update: found a couple of links, I assume the bill you mean is the "Small Business Health Fairness Act, H.R. 525", passed by the House in July, 2005. Not really breaking news, I think The Democrats oppose this bill because they had their own version and they believed the Republican version actually reduces the number of insured workers. So I suppose it's how you feel about getting what you want at the expense of others who would be hurt by the bill. Source(s): http://www.house.gov/apps/list/press/ed3... It is not the governments responsibility to force a private company to provide you or anyone with benifits. No one has held a gun to your head and forced you to be in Real Estate if you are not happy with your employer or your benifits then get another job. The main problem with Americans today is their reliance on the government. Our founding fathers laid out the governments responsibility in the US Constitution and it is pretty clear. Now if only Americans and Govco would adhear to that document then we would be in a better situation. Only interested in Liberty, Eric H. Smith www.erichsmith.com The US Constitution |
