If USA is the best country in the world then how come many American don't have Health Insurance?


Also our tax rate isn't that much higher than the Europeans if any, especially for the middle-income. But at least the Europeans provide national health insurance even to the homeless. In England they don't tax food to go or clothings. So why do I hear from some of the ignorant Americans saying this is the greatest country?

The US isn't the ''best country in the world,'' it's actually turned in to a police state.

Money isnt everything. Considder our rights as Americans, so many people in Africa, Cuba, China and other places in the world dont have that. In africa hundreds of children are forced to join the Sudanese army and kill their own family. Think about it, being an American, your blessings are high.
Not everyplace has the same plan for success. Europeans live in a really nice place, the USA is still a greater world power whether it has health care for everyone or not. Yes it would be great if there were benefits as you have described, there are law makers working on those things right now.
Because Bush does not care about the working poor and too many Conservatives have glib replies like, "they should get better jobs" (but blindly refuse to acknowlege that someone has to do the little jobs like waitresses, fast food servers, janitors,grocery clerks) or "They can go to the ER, they can't be turned down" (Yet they are the first to scream about rising health care costs and taxpayers money going to UNPAID ER bills). These are the people who would gladly exterminate the ill, poor, mentally impaired and those who have just fallen on hard times. Watch, you'll see the answers.
Its the IDEA and supposed IDEALS of America that make people make that statement.

Its just most things that would actually make it the best are not really practiced.
