Why spend so much money on space shuttle's missions when we have so many people without health insurance? |
Why spend so much money on space shuttle's missions when we have so many people without health insurance? I think it's the human desire of finding out the mysteries of our world and beyond. Not only that, there are the advances in science that come about from space research. eg teflon, satellite communications. There will always be a need to help some group of people, but that also doesn't mean that we should stop everything else. Putting it another way, I guess one could say "why should you spend your money at the cinema, on a book on candy or anything else not essential to surviving when there are poor people starving in the world?" Well the government and corporations have better things to do then worry about little people that's what i dont understand...especially when i didnt have health insurance for a long time...i guess they want to find life in space...but they should at least support life on earth I don't know... or why do they give tax cuts and grants to huge oil companies that are making all-time record profits... it's not like they can't afford to pay for their own research and pay taxes? both r imp....i love space n its mystery but at the same time govt sud take drastic steps to improve health insurance When there's a Chinese base on the moon loaded with ICBMs, get back to me on why the space program is a waste of money. Why do so many people who can afford health insurace dump there problem on the their neibors? Why is it the governments job to wipe everybodys rear when they poop? Why don't people go to work. |
