How do I insure my personal belingings such as my camera while traveling? I do not need health insurance? Most companies that offer travel protection also include coverage of personal items as well. But, I don't believe you are able to get it without the health insurance part. Really, I think the cost with or without the healt insurance is going to be about the same. With travel protection you are covering a lot more than just health, it is also for flight delays, extra night stays because of weather or something like that. It is a good idea to put on any trip. But as far as just covering personal items, I'm not sure who offers this. I think your best option may be to cover it through the manufacturer, but then it won't cover it if the item is stolen or something and it would get pretty costly covering each item.
