My sister has the flu, ibuprofen or tylenol doesn't seem to be working? she has no health insurance? |
how much would it cost to take her to the doctor? Doctors care office? she's 22 I am so sorry about your sister. The flu is a virus and there really is no medication out there to fix it. She needs to drink plenty of liquids and get lots of rest. Give her double doses of vitamin C. Give her some aspirin. If she has a fever, put some cold wet towels around her ankles. Call your local Emergency Clinic and tell them your situation, they should be able to help and give you more info on the insurance thing. I hope she gets better soon. Depending on where you are...I mean a doctors visit is about 50...Like the local medical clinic...Somthing like that anyway.. But if that medicine is not helping she needs to go no matter the cost.. My guess would be to call the doctors' office & ask them!?! Uncommonly good sense If she has the flu theres not much a doctor can do for her buy her some theraflu i love that stuff if her fever gets high and wont go down with tylenol or putting cool cloths on her then I would say take her straight to the hospital its the best you can do for her I hope she feels better soon Adults need Tamiflu 75mg twice a day for 2 days. It is one of the newest anti-viral medications and it really does work and it is not an antibiotic. Tamiflu is specifically designed for the current flu that is going around now. And it is amazing the difference and how fast it works. My son and I felt better the next day. This is especially bad because my Dr. said if you don't get Tamiflu you could be sick for weeks. This is so hard. I have been there without insurance. We have insurance now. My son and I are recovering from the flu now. But our insurance would cover the office visit but not the Tamiflu. For my son and me both to get enough Tamiflu from Wal-green鈥檚 with a prescription for the both of us cost $80. I am sure Wal-green鈥檚 is not the only place to buy Tamiflu. Their are a lot of on-line pharmacies now. Good Luck |
