What could it be when a man has been hurting in the groin for over a month.He does'nt have health insurance. |
He went to the doctor twice and was told by two different doctors that it may be hurnia or prostate problems.There's really nothing you can do without health insurance.Please give me some suggestions. Get a new doctor. A good doctor will at least be able to diagnose the problem. As for treatment, if it is something serious, that's where your insurance issue comes in. If you really are too poor to pay the medical bill, and if the diagnosis is serious, and there are no alternatives this is what you do: You tell your man to go to the emergency room of the nearest STATE hospital and say he is in excrutiating paid and tell him to tell the doctors what he has been diagnosed with (say, prostate enlargement). The doctors are not permitted by law to NOT treat him due to lack of insurance, they will be required to treat him. If all they do is give him painkillers, simply have him return to the hospital when the painkillers are gone...eventually they will be forced to treat the problem. Whats more valuable, yoru health or the next take-away?? sounds like a hernia if he works then he should make sure he gets hurt on the job so workers comp will pay for it. Get health insurance. If its a hernia all you can do is not lift anything or do strenuous exercises until it heals. If its prostate problems dont let your insurance company know when you get it because it would be concidered a preexisting condition and they have the right to not cover you for that problem. it depends on where you live.. for example if you live in cook county in illinois you can go to a county hospital for free... but you need to look up the local clinics in your are and call them to find out if they will provide you with services on a sliding scale. a sliding scale is when you pay a percentage based on your income.
