Is an insurance salesman(health) a good paying job? |
If so, with what companies? I live in the dfw area. What are the risks? Will I be able to support my family until I build up my clientele? How does that business work? No, it is not. If you're good at rejection and taking the word "no", then it would probably be perfect for you. That type of business runs on commission only. Simply put: if you sell a lot, you get paid a lot. If you sell little, you get paid little. And if you don't sell anything, well.....it's best that you find an occupation that's gonna pay you a guaranteed wage no matter what! Oh, and you will be probably required (nine out of ten) to drive your own car around town and sell to people, racking up miles and putting wear and tear on your car in the process. You have to depend on your skills to get you the money and you have to be on point at all times. You gotta be upbeat and positive even when it seems you don't want to be because of the fact that you gotta depend on this next sale to help you get the $! The only upside to it is you get to be your own boss, get your own clientele, and there's no ceiling on the amount of $ you make. Other than that, it is what it is. I hope this helps.
