I injured my back at work. Turns out, my boss let workman's comp. insurance lapse; we have no health coverage?

If he reinstates the coverage, will my injury be covered since it was during the period when it had lapsed? Should I simply tell my boss to cover my medical bills, or should I take him to court? I need some medical treatment now.

most states you can collect on workmans comp anyway-his lapse of coverage is a legal issue between him and the state-you shouldnt be effected-might be different in your state-old hippie
