Should health care professionals lie to the insurance company about a patient's progress?

Should health care professionals lie to the insurance company about a patient's progress?

no
no, but they will. Its all about the money.
No they should not. It can only complicate things for the patient. Besides, I would think it would be against their code of ethics.
If you could give a specific example it would be very helpful.

I have known a doctor that would embellish the truth so as the patient would get the necessary care but not lie.

I would have to believe that most Doctors would do that (embellish) if they truly thought it was in the best interest of the patient.
No they should not. We are professional people & that is NOT professional.
