Getting coverd by health insurances?

recentley my wife was due to have throat surgery only to be turned away from the hospital because our insurance did'nt cover us.so now it is a race against time to raise the money or find an insurance company that will take us.deos any body have any suggestions how we can get around this obstacle.thanks

I don't understand why you were turned away. Do you have health insurance? Is this a medically necessary procedure? Is it a covered benefit of your policy? Is prior authorization of your insurance company required? Is the hospital in your insurance company's network?

These are questions you should be asking to find out why you were denied. The insurance company has an obligation to inform you of their decision in wirting, along with the reason for the denial. Keep digging. Find out why and then we can help you with an answer.
Can u appeal that decision.. If ur doc says u need it, they are supposed to cover it.. If u have a denial letter from them u might be able to get emergency medicaid for it ..Most ins. companies will not pay pre existing for at least 12 months (even if u could get approved)
