How do we create a system that ensures that all citizens have access to health insurance? |
Why is fixing American Health Care so diffiucult? Require every insurance company that does business in the USA to supply one free (or low-cost) policy for every five paid policies that they have. Require any business that employs over 50 people to provide health insurance to their employees and their families. That would assure that 5 in 6 Americans has health coverage. The other 1 in six gets their coverage from the above pool if they cannot otherwise afford it. Set up an agency that gets income information from the IRS to determine which citizens qualify for free health care through the plan above. Insurance companies will check with this agency before continuing free coverage. Allow insurance companies, Medicare, and pharmacies to create a joint coalition to negotiate prices on drugs, medical procedures, hospital stays, and other large-cost items. That should do it. Let it all be a back-and-forth between insurance companies and medical providers. Keep government out of it. (I've seen Government Housing, I don't want Government Health Care. If they run it as well as they run Amtrack... well, I don't want it.) It's called socialism. Gov't subsidizes health care. Cause conservatives love money and hate people. When we can't control our own borders we can't even begin to address health care. When you file your taxes, you get your insurance card/paper work proving eligibility for government aid in the mail (plus the dependents you filed). No taxes payed=no benefits from the government. After that, you just have the same problem the Secret Service has with money, i.e. prevent counterfeiting. I think is would not cover illegals and it should have sliding scale, using income as the measure. ask those who call it socialize Medicine, what type of medical insurance do they have. Also asked our elected official from the president to your local mayor, who pays for their health care. 100% are be cared for by the tax payer. And yes, I have a very good health care plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and it runs me about $400 per month Let us keep more of our hard earned money and decide our own health care on a personal basis. Screw the government they shouldn't have a say in it in the first damn place!!! Some single people in their 20's say health care is the furthest thing on their minds right now I'll deal with it when I'm older. Which is fine it should be their right to do so. If you want to see how expesnive "free" health care is vote in socialized medicine. It will be a nightmare! |
