Do I need health insurance for 3 days? |
I am a recent college grad. My health insurance coverage under my parents plan will end on May 31st. I have a job (!!!!) with immediate health insurance coverage that will begin on June 4th. Should I get a one month short-term plan or are there provisions within the health insurance industry should something happen during this three day period? Or should I just lock myself in my apartment for the three days and take no risks?!!! Only if something happens during the 3 days. If it were me, I'd follow the "lock myself in the apartment" plan. Although that's not an official insurance answer, LOL. Source(s): agent, 21+ years Unless you have health issues, I wouldn't worry about those 3 days. I haven't had health insurance for years. You should be fine for 3 days. There aren't that many health issues that you wouldn't be able to wait for 3 days to see a doctor. For that matter, it usually takes longer than that to get an appointment with a doctor. It's your call - depends on how lucky you feel. The chances of something disastrous happening in that three days is low - but if it does, you could have major problems. you try this site you get full information http://www.click4freeinfo.com/indexinsur... Unless you have major-league ongoing health issues, just be SUPER careful for those three days! If you take any prescriptions regularly, make sure they're filled by May 30th to avoid any problems. |
