Need health insurance for 9 month old?

I am looking for temporary health insurance for my 9 month old. We live in Ca. I would only need it for like her regular check ups etc. not anything special. I would also need it for like 5 months only since we'd have insurance after that. Does anyone know of a good health insurance??? TIA

You should check with your state Children's Health Insurance Program, here's the website: http://www.healthyfamilies.ca.gov/hfhome...

Otherwise, you'll have to contact a local agent for a private health plan, it should run you around $200 a month. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
You could check out Blue Advantage by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Go to their website..I think it's offered there in Ca.
depending on your income you may be able to recieve medicaid or kid med until you get regular coverage. Your local health dept. will usually provide immunizations for free regardless of insurance coverage. Also some communities have low cost health care for working families who dont have or cant afford traditional coverage.
You need a 'short term' medical policy and they are available through Assurant. I found a link on www.tpmrs.com under health benefits. You pay by credit card ... pretty easy.
