Is this why we cannot afford healthcare insurance? |
Net Income for the prior 2 years Aetna 933 million to 1.634 billion United Health 1.825 billion to 3.3 billion Cigna 650 million to 1.625 billion AFLAC 795 million to 1.483 billion WellPoint (blue cross) 775 million to 2.465 billion That is a 211% in net income in two years. There is no healthcare crisis people there is a bought and paid for politician problem, bought and paid for by the insurance companies. You think oil is good investment, NOT, insurance makes far more money than oil ever has. We have to eliminate private funding of elections, we have to take the insurance companies out of the influence business or we will have no healthcare. AMEN!!!!!! What Doctors are paid should not have a bearing on this. They will get paid what the market will bear IF not controlled by outside sources. The Medical industry has bought and PAID our politicians! If you wanna wind up and say those dang Conservatives are the ones who did this, then explain why it has been a problem for almost 30 years! One of the biggest culprits are the Lawyers involved. Legal Malpractice suits have driven the cost of medical to an all time high! Suing doctors for not healing me fast enough or for causing me pain. Suing because I did not like the fact that I had to wait for the ER for 2 hours because my head hurt. I think people should look beyond the sickness, they should look at the decease! Cure malpractice and the medical prices will start to be controlled. Take the laws that almost make insurance required away and let the Hospitals fight for your business and the cost will come back to normal. CONTROL ILLEGAL ALIENS and the cost will plummet! I think the insurance business is and always has been a racket. They take our money and give us nothing in return. My co payments are such that I can't afford to get sick. I have to save up to go see my PCP. 2 reasons, 1. Lawyers. Example: OBGYN's will not deliver babies because if something is wrong with the baby they get sued and put out of business. Many small town doctors are leaving the field completely because of the malpractice insurance. 2. Greediness. Hospital charges for simple things like a q-tip have gone up over 3000% in just the last few years when the cost of such items has only risen by about 10%. I think we do not have to eliminate private funding of elections. We need to eliminate lobbying groups and large corporate funding of elections. |
