Has Anyone Been Denied Coverage For Healthcare or a Prescription by Their Insurance or HMO? |
FYI Michael Moore, who has made SICKO-about the health insurance industry in the U.S. is on Democracy Now! this morning (link is here.) http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?s... http://www.michaelmoore.com/ Yes! My HMO denied a lung and sinus CT scan my doctor ordered. As a result, he can only treat my symptoms instead of figuring out the root cause. My husband's old health plan stopped paying for his allergy medications when Claritin went over the counter, so we had to buy them at full cost. Thankfully, he's now on a better plan. Also, my sister has degenerative disc disease and is having spinal fusion surgery this week. Her HMO stopped paying for her pain meds and now she has to pay for them on her own. I have no idea how they can refuse to pay for pain meds for a person who's having major surgery. I hope Moore's film will result in some changes to the healthcare industry or at least wake people up to this crisis. In a country as wealthy as ours, it frustrates me that so many people are denied quality care...especially when you consider how much money Americans pay for health insurance and medications. i have not been denied and i dont have insurance. the doctors are allready doing what the left doesnt want if you pay cash its cheaper than if you have insurance |
