You can't. No insurance company in their right mind is going to post a list of all the people they insure. It is a contract between the insurance company and the homeowner.

The only party that has a right to know who insures that house is the mortgage company. They have a vested interest in the house and require that it be insured.

Homeowners insurance is a private contract between the insurance company and the policy holder. It is not a "public record" and there is no reason for it to be. It is really no one else's business who a private citizen uses for financial services.
You can't find it, unless the person is willing to tell you. This information is subject to the privacy laws.

You'll just have to go ahead and sue them, and see if an insurance company contacts you.

Do to the privacy act you can not get that information. If the person damaged and you are looking to put a claim in you would need to file a law suite and then they will forward it to there insurance company. The company will then contact you. Unless the person you want to find out about puts a claim in there is no way for you to get that information.
