Rewiring the house or mobile would be considered upkeep.it's true that bad wiring is a fire hazard. it's not up to the insurance company to maintain your home, it's up to YOU to do that. So no, homeowners policies don't pay maintenance issues, including rewiring your house.

If they find out you have a fire hazard there, and arent' doing anything to fix it, they can cancel your policy.
