Could homeowners insurance cover a car stolen from the driveway?

the car has only minimal insurance on it

No. Vehicle are specifically excluded from coverage on a homeowners policy. Actually any type of motor craft needs to have its own coverage including ATVs, boats, and golf carts in some cases.
Don't think so. Home owners only covers damage to home or injury to guests.
No, homeowners insurance doesn't cover anything that's "register-able" for road use.r
'Fraid not my friend. Some states offer special coverage for 'undrivable' cars. Like if you have a broken down car in your back yard, you can get special coverage that will cover that loss if it is stolen, or burns down with your house, but its not common, and its more expensive than simply insuring your car.
