I lived in Beautmont,Tx and my house was valued at $125,000 and contents at $50,000 my Insurance was about $350.00 year. But that was 10 years ago. It realy all depends on how much value you have? It doesn't matter, because without knowing how much the house is insured for, the actual price means nothing. I can tell you, that moving here from Pittsburgh, the rates in Houston are MUCH higher, and the policies are MUCH more limited in coverages. My friend has a townhouse in Houstan.
