Rural area in louisiana, Farm Bureau homeowners insurance. Do I need a fence around an inground swimming pool? Rural areas have different requirements. It may not be written in the laws, but putting up a fence is in your best interest. If you have no neighbors close by there is little danger of someone falling in the pool. But have you ever tried to get a cow or horse out of a pool? It ain't easy! I'd fence the thing off just to keep animals out. Source(s): 35 years in the pool industry. I would certainly assume so. It is for your protection, as well as everyone elses. need? Isnt it more a matter of safety? Most insurance companies would require it. If on the slim chance that yours does not, I would definately get one anyway. You are opening yourself up to a major liability issue. you sure do, children and animals are very precious yes |
