Where can I find sample copies of Homeowners insurance policies to study? |
I would like to see some real copies(no personal information) so that i can study them. Most insurance companies will use the ISO (Insurance Service Office) policy forms which are standardized across the industry. There are several different policy forms available for the different types of properties to insure. Each of the policy forms have the same general terms and conditions, it's just that each form insures different property and the perils it will cover. Here is a link to the HO-3 policy form, which is the standard homeowners form. (It is a PDF file) http://server.iii.org/yy_obj_data/binary... There are a number of other forms that are offered, and the HO-3 does differ in the sense of the property covered and what losses the policy insures against. The following website should help you with some information, but you can also search for HO-4 (Renters) and HO-6 (Condo-owners) forms which are the other common forms. http://www.iii.org/individuals/homei/hba... google! at staples Independent Insurance Agents of America has a "virtual classroom" somewhere on their website.
