If a tree falls on your house property and your vehicle would both be covered by homeowners insurance?/?

If a tree falls on your house property and your vehicle would both be covered by homeowners insurance?/?

You would have two separate claims, one for your homeowner's policy to cover the damage done to your home and a Comprehensive (COMP) claim for the damage done to your vehicle. You'll have to pay two separate deductibles as well.

Homeowner's insurance pays for damage done to the residence (or any other property coverage is extended to) under coverage A, any unattached structures under coverage B, your personal property (coverage C) and provides liability coverage (if, for example, you tree hurt someone else or damaged their property). Damage done to automobiles is specifically excluded under the homeowner's policy.

Your auto insurance will pay only if you have Comprehensive coverage. Comp coverage is for damage done to your auto "other than by collision," which covers things like falling objects (trees), animal strikes, vandalism, theft etc.

If it's your neighbor's tree that fell, coverage may or may not exist under their policy; one factor there will be whether or not their tree was alive at the time of the loss.

Contact your insurance agent and best of luck to you!I wouldn't think so-- I think the car is covered by your car insurance and the house by the home insurance.

Likewise, if your car is stolen, it is covered by your car insurance, but contents are normally covered by your home insurance.
Yes.
Your home is covered under your homeowners policy. Automobiles are specifically excluded from coverage under a homeowners policy.

So in short, The Homeowners policy takes care of the house and the Automobile policy takes care of the car.

No if's, and's or but's........

Your vehicle would not be covered under your homeowners policy as vehicles are excluded. You would go under your auto insurance. If there is no auto insurance then you are out of luck
