That's why there's something called "renter's insurance"...it is not the responsibility of the property owner to claim your stuff on their policy.
So you want to know if they'll pay for the stuff that got stolen?
Probably not.
Your outta luck. His insurance protects his stuff not yours. You can sue him if you can find some gross negligence on his part to provide adequate security....but that will be near impossible.
Tough luck this time. Get renter's insurance before next time. By the way, it is "trailer".
He is only responsible to have insurance on the trailer, not its contents, especially ones that he does not own. You should look into renters' insurance. It protects your valuables/belongings.
For starters its trailer and if you live there and are paying rent you need to purchase a tenant homeowners policy that is relatively cheap around 150 -200 dollars per year depending on how much stuff you have. The only thing the owners insurance will pay for is the damage to the property (door/window). Sorry, but you are not covered on their policy for your stuff. ED
out of luck. check the pawn shop for your things, as you may be able to recover some.. good luck
