Hello, I am in the diamond business and I can tell you that depending on the customs tax and declared value it will vary. The lower the declared value the lower the tax rate. It is not done by weight you have to declare a value. However, that being said international shipments are very much under scrutiny due to not only security and transporting high tarriff goods, but also because of Knock off Brand stealing out of Hong Kong.
