If you could tell the government how to spend $1,000 of your income tax paid?


Please choose from amongst these possible specific uses of your tax money..and you give divide it up how you want percentage wise.

Local primary education, college aid, military, infrastructure (roads, highways, etc), space exploration, researchs subsidies to encourage bringing to within 5 years or less cars that do not use one drop of gasoline, or fossil fuel.

How would you divide up that pie?

1. local education- $100. I dont have kids, but everyone needs basic education.
2. Roads- $200. I love and need to drive
3. College aid-$0 I should not have to pay for someone else to go school. I earned my right to go to college.
4. Military- $400, I am a reservist so it would help me out to get better gear.
5. Alternate fuel sources-$300, it is going to take us getting rid of of foriegn oil dependence to to fight the Al Qaedia with out one hand tied behind our backs.
I would suggest that the government not waste money on any more expensive studies about what the country needs. I would make sure that all Americans have sufficient nutrition in order to stay alive. Personally, $1,000 is not too much to spend for a humanitarian effort. Nothing else is more important than the preservation of mankind.
