Income Tax Problem???

I worked in a group home--owner with held taxes from my checks. Never did I fill out any papers as in W4 he did it. I questioned him and he said -- oh he was really busy. The job was horrid and I left after about 4 months---I never got a W2 for the work and he has sold the place. He contacted me and said--oh I will send you a W2! Not!! So, after he pulled this mess (he was only paying me minimum wage--5.25) I made less than 4 an hour. I need that cash back!!
What's my path???

Contact the IRS .....go to their website and contact them. You may never see your money again and then maybe you might...but at least he will be punished for being a tax cheat.

You should complain to labor department and try to get your money back. Good Luck!
He is required by law to send you a W2 to the mailing address you had on file by 1/31 of the tax year after the one that you worked in. If this work was done in 2006, then you should have received one months ago. However if it was done in 2007, you aren't due one till 1/31/08. If he does indeed owe you a W2, they call the IRS and they will deal with him for you. He had to file a year end 941 form and with that a listing or tape of all employees and work earnings, deductions etc. If he hasn't done this then they will fix it or give you instruction as to how to go forward.
