|My ex owes a considerable amout of back child support...how do i go about getting income tax intercept...? |
he has informed me that hewill NEVER pay that back support. But thats ok because some one told me i can get some of his income tax . |DO i contact chils support office or IRS. Instead of worrying about the darn money you should be working on establishing a better relationship with him... Your ex.. may I assume you are an unwed mother? When are you going to grow up and start acting like a responsible adult? No wonder you are in the situation you are in. I think you have to call the Attorney General for your state. You should be able to contact your child support case worker. She can even have a warrant issued thru the county judge. I got the tax money w/out even doing anything. Most of the time, the case workers will see what amount they are behind and take the necessary steps to get it for you. However, if he is out of state or keeps changing addresses, things of that nature. The only way he may get aressted is if he just happens to get pulled over for something/ or in that nature where a police officer would run his license. Hope any of this helps. But it does help to stay on track with the case worker, so your file doesn't get "misplaced" or overlooked. Personal experience |
