Since residents of Puerto Rico dont have to pay income taxes, how does an internet business become resident?


Being retired and with not much income anyway, besides hating the whole filing thing (being an intrusion on 5th amendment privacy anyway), would a simple relocation work? I am told that just moving to Canada or Mexico that there one is still subject to filing.

If you are a United States citizen you are subject to US taxation on worldwide income, no matter where you reside.

If you really want to structure your affairs tax-efficiently, may I suggest you consult a CPA?
We pay taxes every where we step, sorry no room for your dreams over here...

Hahaha! I live in Puerto Rico and I have to pay taxes!!! Lots of them! What gave you the idea that we dont pay taxes???
