What's going to happen if i don't file my income taxes on time?

i haven't filed an extension, but i do live overseas (i think there's an automatic extension for that). if i'm just a week or two late, what's going to happen?

Taxpayers 鈥渙ut of the country.鈥?If, on the regular due date
of your return, you are 鈥渙ut of the country鈥?and a U.S. citizen
or resident, you are allowed 2 extra months to file your return
and pay any amount due without requesting an extension.
For a calendar year return, this is June 15, 2007. File this
form and be sure to check the box on line 8 if you need an additional 4 months to file your return

the irs is gonna hunt you down and eat you alive
You have internet access. Get the forms and file for the extension electronically, you have 3 more days don't be lazy or stupid.
you will pay a big penalty
m
If you owe them money, you will pay a fine, if they owe you money, nothing.

If you think you are going to owe them, file an extension, you will still have to pay interest, but no fine. You can get the forms necessary at:

Good Luck. . .
If you owe, you'll pay a small penalty and interest. If you have a refund coming, nothing will happen.
