Should the upper 1% of taxpayers pay 33-36% of all personal federal income taxes, and is that fair?

No it's not fair but it is the way our taxes are stuctured..however most people think that the middle and low income levels pay the most taxes..HA!!
well since the richest 3 million or so americans probably have 80% of the wealth, why shouldn't they pay 33% of the federal tax? maybe they should pay more?
In theory, thats really not fair at all. Why should a person who happens to be very successful have to pay more money than someone who isnt? They dont recieve any more governmental benefits than anyone else, so why should they pay more? I suppose in theory, a flat tax rate for all would be most fiar.
Of course, lots of things work in theory but not as well in practice. Because of the world we live in, and the vast amounts of power that come with larger amounts of money (the more affluent you are the more you can donate to political parties, candidates, and other political organizations), i think taxing the rich is fair. -as long as the government isnt taxing them to the point where it can really make a difference in their lifestyle.
No it's not fair everyone should pay about 10% and that's it. Do away with all Federal aid, just leave enough to run the government and the military nothing more
