My spouse makes 11k per yr, I make 69K. Is it better to file Income taxes joint or separated?

Since everbody's tax status is slightly different, the only accurate way to answer this is to fill in your income & expense details on any of the tax software packages, then the software will allow you to calculate it boths ways so you can accurately choose the smartest way to file.

I don't mean to be "mean", but I'm impressed you managed to earn $70K without already having that figured out! LOL!
joint is better when there is a large difference in income.
