I believe so I just dont know how to go about it.
If you are raising the child, file your tax return. If there is two people claiming your child, the IRS will request that both of you submit proof that it is your child. Since the child is yours, this will be no problem for you. If someone else is claiming your child, they will not be able to prove that they are supporting your child.
I don't know if there is any way to find that out. You could call the IRS and ask them, but I don't know if they would tell you. If more than one person is claiming the child, the IRS will probably contact the custodial parent.
