If my income is less than 12,729 dollars, but I'm self employed...do I have to file taxes?

Yes you have to.The income limit to file for self-employed people is $400. The $8000 or so others are saying is for W2 people.

The bright side is you can deduct almost all business expenses, i.e. car, supplies, advertising, telephone etc.
everyone over 18 needs to file. no exceptions.
you always have to file... but you may not owe anything.

Yes, but make sure you declare every penny of business expense so they don't take very much!
