How much does the average insurance agent earn, in tennessee?

The average newbie, or the average established? An average established agent with his own office will earn about $80,000 a year, AFTER office expenses. The average employee (straight commission) will earn about $40,000 - $60,000. The average FIRST YEAR guy probably earns about $5,000, because most wash out in the first six months. The guy that sticks with it and actually sells will make about $40K.
I asked that question once...to a former employer...not about Tennessee but how much I could earn as an agent.

He said this. "you can earn as much as you want"!

It depends on how hard you work I guess. The sky is the limit as a salesman. Set a goal and achieve it!
