A car damaged by and Insurance company for me got scratched, The rental company wants me to pay the deductible It sounds like you do owe the rental agency for repair of the damage while car was in your care, custody, and control. If you cannot pay it all at once, make the attempt to work out a deal. Because if you don't pay it in one way, shape, or form, they will come after you- most likely in small claims court. Nick it in the bud before it gets too nasty and let them know your plans. Sorry, your question doesn't make sense. I assume you had a rental car and returned it with damage and now the rental company wants you to pay them your deductible. If you did not take out the damage waiver to protect the rental car - then the rental company is going to file a claim against your personal auto policy for the damage to the rental car. However, they are not going to absorb your deductible. They will collect that from you and the balance from your insurance company. If what you're saying is that your insurance company supplied you with a rental car, which you then scratched while it was in your possession, and the rental agency wants you to pay the damage deductible on the car, yes you're probably on the hook. Other than that I can't make heads or tails out of your question. I can't understand your question http://www.freewebs.com/all--insurance/... Your deductible is your self insuring amount - it is the amount you chose to insure yourself up to when you bought your policy. You are responsible for it. However, if you used a credit card to secure the rental car or (even better) pay for it, they may cover your deductible |
