Is it fraud or illegal for an employer to charge a worker for insurance & then not pay prem. & drop coverage? |
Also, only a 5 day notice was given. check with the OSHA department in your state. They can give you a better answer than what you'll get on YA. Is it fair that a company goes bankrupt and employees lose their worked wages? Cutbacks happen and the specifics of your policy should be outlined in your agreement. As long as you had coverage for the time period paid, the employer may not have done anything unlawful. However, I do recommend that you contact your local state Insurance Commissioner to verify.
