FRAUD? Uninsurable bad driver (friend) wants added to my perfect record insurance policy? |
The worlds worst driver is no longer insurable by anyone and is demanding to be added to my 40 year accident free insurance policy. I say that is outright insurance fraud. She says that it's not even remotely close to "fraud" and that I'm ignorant to the way things are done in the real world. I already know who's right - the question is; what's the nicest way to tell a friend "NO!" knowing that it will destroy her? NO and that is my final answer. I understand that you don't want to hurt her, but you can't take that chance. Aside from the fact that it is fraudulent, It isn't your responsibility to suffer for her actions. I imagine that having an accident free insurance for 40 years puts you at least in your late 40s. Why should you run the risk of losing your insurable credibility and raising your premiums at this stage in your life for your friend who is not insurable for a good reason I'M SURE. Good luck on being firm with her. Seriously, just tell her no, that your insurance rates will skyrocket and you just can't have that. I would not add a bad driver to your insurance policy. That's a one way ticket to getting very high premiums. 231 your name has to be on the title to the car for her to be on your insurance I thought if you get into an accident, which is very likley to happen considering your record, then you will cause my insurance to go up. I cannot afford my insurance to go up. AND if i can keep it clean for another couple years i will be able to ge MAJOR discount (thats a lie but say it) I work in auto insurance and you are definitely right. And actually it is also fraud unless she lives in your home full-time. No one will add her to your policy anyway. Just tell her NO and to drop it. Or have your agent tell her they can't. |
