Can i advise my insurance company to reject possible fraud claim being filed?

leaving a private property parking lot of a club i accidentally bumped another car while backing out and upon doing so witnessed no damage either to my 04 mits galant nor this 94 pontiac firebird-also waited for a while and no one came out so left-only to later have received a letter from eppd (TX) that my vehicle was involved in hit and run and other driver is claiming more than 1500.00 in damages

Don't worry about it. Explain what happened to your insurance. They have lawyers and will not pay if they don't have to.
Its the drivers responsibility to report an accident even if the vehicle was unattended. You want have to worry to much about your insurance company, they will be canceling your policy after they receive the report and the claim.
Unfortunately, because 1) you didn't report it to your insurance company when it happened; 2) you left the scene of an accident; and, 3) there was a witness (there had to have been, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten that letter) you're in deep do-do. I'd worry more about the trouble you're going to have with the police than any fraudulent claim.
You absolutely should communicate with them at this point, they will deny the claim if you feel this is a bs insurance scam. Take pictures of your car all the way around and offer to send them to the company to prove you didn't even have a ding! They will take it from there.

My only question is who got your license number to report a hit and run if there was no one around? Make sure you report it honestly to the company, there's no second chance with those guys.
There are a couple of issues going on. First, the accident occurred in a private parking lot. Most police departments wouldn't even bother responding and your obligation to report it would be secondary. Secondly, if you did what you said and stayed in an effort to make contact with the other vehicle owner then the police department would have a hard time proving intent.

You have to contact the police department and straighten out the hit and run issue. Take any witnesses you might have to back up your story.

As far as the other person's claim for damage. It would be same whether you stayed or not. Without a police report on private property it is always your word against theirs. Most carriers will just pay the claim rather than fight a $1500 damage claim regardless of what you want to do.

Was the car legally parked to begin with? Any witnesses to the damage or lack thereof? Can you pursue a claim against the club for not providing something or another?
