I received the rates for the portable group life insurance but not the conversion group life insurance. I called the company and after an hour, they said they will get back to me in five business days. I told them if they did not get back me in 24 hours with the rate, don't call me.
The portable policy will have a higher premium than the conversion because they have to take you, even if you have health problems. With the conversion they need to underwrite you (which takes some time) but if you are healthy the premium will be a lot less.
