If just found out I'm pregnant! and I am inbetween jobs with no health insurance...? |
I work full time however because of this pregnancy my new insurance company will consider it a prexisting condition! So I am able to use Mediaid. I know how to apply and all but I will be moving to another state in a few months! Will I have to reapply in my new state? or will it just follow me? this is all very confusing, any help would be great! my suggestion is to call Medicaid and ask the number is as follows Medicare Service Center: 800-MEDICARE (800-633-4227) Medicare Service Center TTY: 877-486-2048 Report Medicare Fraud & Abuse: 800-HHS-TIPS (1-800-447-8477) It won't follow you, your gonna have to reapply. But it does depends on the income. Health insurance unfortunatley does not follow you through states unless you have a national healthcare provider. Well that sucks. American health care system sucks. Sorry If you lived in Canada it would be covered. I suggest you mover here and apply for free health care. Happy Belated Canada Day! or have a Horrbile Independance Day yes, each state has its own state funded med insurance. do u have cobra available from your last job? that could be an option usually it would follow you to another state.. lol thats ok. yes ull have to apply in the hospital that ull want to have ur kid. then if u dont want that hospital anymore but a diff one, u just need some information to the other hospital and they will c that u have the medicaid support. |
