I was just offered a new job and the insurance (for the first time at a job) will cover my partner if we are? |
registered partners. Does anyone know how to go about us becoming registered partners in the state of Ohio? I have been searching the ohio.gov website forever with no answers. No such thing as registered domestic partners in Ohio. I've worked for several employers that offer spousal equivalency benefits and none has ever required any sort of registration. Check with your HR manager or your companies website. What you may have seen is a requirement that you register as partners with your HR department. Feel free to shoot me an email if you need help I've dealt with these issues for a couple of decades in Ohio. Source(s): Congrats on the new job with a cool employer! Domestic partnership ... Hope this helps you... http://www.case.edu/provost/lgbt/policie... well, I'd have to advise to keep searching, or make some calls. it varies in different states. you can't register in my entire state (MO), but you can in some major cities (like KC or St. Louis). we registered for domestic partnership. and I also work at a company that provides benefits. my partner is covered under my policy. but, this may be a pointer in the right direction....just found it in a Yahoo search http://www.case.edu/provost/lgbt/ohio.ht... Probably the same department that issues marriage licenses. |
