Why do employers terminate 50 year old+ employees prior to retirement, leaving them without medical insurance?


I have seen employers find fault with many things that do not make sense, just trying to force the employee out...........

Because they're bastards. The retirement package is not free to the employer, and often the employer would rather not pay it. It sucks.

Because they make more money than a new employee and then they don't have to pay the benefits. It's a profiteering strategy and it stinks.
